01 Overview
MRL ships calibration tapes and related audio measurement equipment worldwide. Due to the precision nature of our products, orders are carefully inspected and packed before shipment. Please review this policy before placing your order.
02 Order Processing
Processing Times
Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays.
- In-stock items: 1-3 business days
- Made-to-order / custom configurations: 5-15 business days (see product page for specifics)
- B2B / draft orders: Subject to lead times confirmed at time of order
Order Cutoff
Orders placed before 12:00 PM Pacific Time on a business day are generally processed the same day. Orders placed after cutoff or on weekends begin processing the next business day.
03 Domestic Shipping (United States)
Carriers
We ship via USPS, UPS, and FedEx. Carrier selection is based on package weight, dimensions, and destination.
Service Levels
- Standard Ground: 3-7 business days after processing
- Priority / Expedited: 2-3 business days after processing
- Overnight: Next business day after processing (order by cutoff)
04 International Shipping
Available Destinations
MRL ships to most countries worldwide. Some destinations may be restricted due to carrier limitations or export regulations. If your country is not available at checkout, please contact us.

- Canada & Mexico: 5-10 business days

Customs, Duties & Import Taxes
International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees levied by the destination country. These charges are:
- The sole responsibility of the recipient
- Not included in the MRL order total or shipping cost
- Not refundable by MRL
MRL is required by law to accurately declare the value and contents of all international shipments. We do not falsify customs documentation or mark shipments as "gifts" to reduce duties.
VAT -- European Union & United Kingdom
Orders shipped to EU or UK destinations may be subject to VAT at the applicable local rate. MRL does not collect VAT at checkout. Buyers are responsible for any VAT not collected at the point of sale. Contact us if you have a VAT registration number that may affect your order.
05 Shipping Rates
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected service level. MRL does not mark up shipping rates beyond carrier charges.
06 Packaging & Handling
All MRL products are precision instruments. Calibration tapes are packaged in protective cases and shipped in double-wall corrugated cartons with appropriate cushioning materials. Reels and tape packs are oriented and secured to prevent damage from vibration and shock during transit.
A handling fee may apply to certain large or fragile items. This fee covers packaging materials and labor for specialized packing and is disclosed at checkout.
07 Shipment Tracking
A tracking number will be emailed to the address on file when your order ships. Tracking information may take up to 24 hours to update in the carrier's system after the label is generated.
MRL is not responsible for tracking delays caused by carrier systems. For assistance locating a shipment, contact us with your order number.
08 Undeliverable Packages & Address Errors
If a package is returned to MRL due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided by the customer, the customer will be responsible for re-shipment costs. MRL will contact you before reshipping.
MRL is not liable for packages delivered to an incorrect address provided at checkout. Please verify your shipping address carefully before placing your order.
09 Lost or Damaged Shipments
Carrier Loss
If your package is confirmed lost by the carrier (typically after 15 business days domestic / 30 business days international without movement), please contact MRL to initiate a claim. MRL will work with the carrier on your behalf and arrange a replacement or refund where eligible.
Damaged in Transit
If your order arrives damaged:
- Retain all original packaging materials and the shipping carton
- Photograph the damage before opening further
- Contact MRL within 5 business days of delivery
Failure to retain packaging or report damage promptly may affect your ability to file a carrier claim.
10 Export Controls & Restricted Destinations
MRL products are manufactured in the United States and are subject to U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR). By placing an international order, you represent that you are not located in, or acting on behalf of any person in, a country or region subject to U.S. trade sanctions or embargoes. MRL reserves the right to cancel and refund any order that cannot be legally fulfilled under applicable export regulations.
11 B2B & Wholesale Orders
Business accounts with approved terms may be eligible for freight shipment, scheduled delivery, or third-party billing to a preferred carrier account. Contact MRL to discuss your account requirements before placing large or recurring orders.
